For the 2023-2024 academic year, Third Quadrant Design has a completely new leadership team. Vancouver Special 2.0 is our new team's first submission to the Solar Decathlon Design Challenge.
In response to the housing crisis, we are proposing a densification project. We will be retrofitting one instance of the iconic Vancouver Special, and converting it into 4 separate units. We envision this idea to be replicated to provide more equitable and sustainable housing for Vancouver.
We have made it past the semi-finals. 6 of our team leads will fly to Colorado in April to participate in the Finals.
